"The 2012 Tour"
Crews will be congregating at the Royal Hotel in Ullapool on 21 April 2012 where all documentation will take place.
Once all the formalities have been completed, there will be a welcoming session of canapés and wine, followed by the welcome dinner.
The following morning will be the time to see all crews setting off for Balnakeil for the official start of the Grand Tour. After the start, a number of crews will visit Cape Wrath -but by mini-bus as the road is rather tricky - and the other side of a river crossed by a ferry. An exciting start to the Tour - as long as the RAF is not training its Tornado and Typhoon crews in dropping bombs...It does happen.
The route has now been completely finalised; and what a varied route these stops promise - Scotland, Wales and England, what a pity we could not have popped across the Irish Sea as well!
